The WeTrueGun Training Center has developed a custom FPV drone simulator server for internal training and recreational practice. The project is called Seek & Destroy.
Normally, WeTrueGun students go through several stages of preparation. The first step is basic FPV training in the LiftOff simulator. After that, students move on to specialized military simulators such as UFDS and Obrii for more advanced UAV operator training.
What you see in the video is not a military simulator in the traditional sense. In fact, the project is built on top of GTA V Legacy — the original PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. However, the WeTrueGun team heavily modified the game and added additional realism to the FPV experience.
Even though it is still a game environment, the core piloting mechanics are surprisingly close to flying a real FPV drone. This includes orientation, speed control, maneuvering, and navigation through urban environments.
The server also includes custom gameplay scenarios. Enemy vehicles are hidden inside regular civilian traffic, and players must locate, identify, and eliminate them. This creates a more immersive and dynamic experience while also improving situational awareness and reaction speed.
At WeTrueGun, we see this project primarily as a way to relax and have fun between serious training sessions. At the same time, it remains a very effective tool for improving FPV piloting skills.
We continue to improve the server, flight physics, scenarios, and realism. In the future, the simulator server will become publicly available online.
