WeTrueGun Training Center

We will train you for free *

Tech recruitment: preparation for service in the Security and Defense Forces as an external UAV operator.

* Training is free for all recruits, provided the participant signs a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine after completing the course. The cost of training is covered by charitable organizations and sponsors, or by WeTrueGun at its own expense.

Our goal is to give Ukraine’s defenders an advantage in the air — both in reconnaissance and in delivering firepower.

The course includes theory and simulator flights, extensive hands-on practice with real strikes on moving targets, and engineering skills in assembling, servicing, and repairing FPV drones.

*** We only accept candidates who are ready to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine immediately after completing the training (by contract or mobilization). The training is completely free of charge. However, if you have the ability to make a donation, it would greatly support our mission. The recommended donation amount is between $600 and $750.

For any questions regarding training and service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, you can contact the dedicated email address: legion@wetruegun.com.

Welcome to WeTrueGun Training Center

Duration: approximately 1 month

Our training program combines both theoretical and practical disciplines. It includes UAV application tactics, working with situational awareness information systems (“Kropyva,” “Delta,” and others), operating systems for live-stream missions, and more.

The core of the program consists of pre-flight, flight, and specialized flight training. Upon completing the course, the pilot takes exams that determine their military occupational specialty (MOS) and placement in a selected military unit for further service.

At the heart of WeTrueGun’s training program is the individual — the future soldier preparing to defend the homeland. That’s why we have created proper conditions for both training and accommodation of every recruit in our center.

Flight training begins with simulators — starting in LiftOFF, then progressing to the military-grade OBRIY simulator. After confidently completing flight missions in simulation, cadets test and reinforce their skills by combining simulator flights with real-world flights on small TinyWhoop drones, gradually transitioning to 5-inch FPV drones.

Before flying training-combat FPV drones (7–10 inches) and reconnaissance drones such as Mavic, Autel, and others, all cadets complete an engineering course focused on drone assembly and programming.

Each cadet flies the drone they personally built and programmed, using batteries they assembled themselves. After practical flight sessions, at the end of the day, cadets repair their drones and follow a checklist to prepare for the next day of hands-on training.

What you’ll learn at WeTrueGun can’t be found on YouTube or read in Telegram channels.
Specialized knowledge that enables effective combat and survival is passed down directly — from mouth to mouth.

It is shared by instructors with real combat experience, who continuously exchange insights with those currently fighting on the front lines. That’s why our program is always up-to-date and reflects the realities of the battlefield as they are right now.

Many people ask: is it possible that I train as a pilot, but after graduation get assigned to the infantry instead?

Yes, that can sometimes happen — but not if you train with us. If you're studying at WeTrueGun, you will serve specifically as a pilot, and you won’t be reassigned to the infantry.

We support our trainees from day one until they receive their military occupational specialty (MOS) and sign a contract with a selected unit — where they will serve in the role they were trained for.

We have great respect for the infantry — it’s incredibly hard work and the most dangerous.

Your mission after completing the training is to destroy the enemy and protect the lives of our infantry soldiers.

If you do your job well, apply the knowledge you gained at WeTrueGun, and continue to grow professionally, then you have nothing to fear and nothing to worry about!

Our graduates and instructors speak out

Sofiia is a WeTrueGun graduate. Incredible, talented, and brave. She is already destroying the enemy on the battlefield.  She became the first woman to join our training program as part of the technorecruitment project for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The “SEPTEMBER” group has completed the “External UAV Pilot” training program consisting of 340 academic hours. This week, Artem is heading to Basic Military Training to receive his first MOS 100, followed by the specialized MOS 216-219 based on the certificate issued by WeTrueGun. In this video, Artem shares a little about himself and his training experience.

Another group has completed their training — certificates awarded, handshakes exchanged, and a strong sense of purpose in the air. These moments are always special. It’s not just about finishing a course. It’s about the people, the effort, the growth, and the understanding of what comes next. The atmosphere is a mix of pride, focus, and quiet determination.

At WeTrueGun, training doesn’t end with graduation. Everyone who comes through here becomes part of a larger family. Graduates stay connected, support each other, and continue learning — because in this field, stopping is not an option. For instructors, this day is always a bit bittersweet. There’s pride in what has been achieved, but also that familiar feeling when it’s time to let people go their own way. But it’s never really a goodbye. We always wait for news — from the front, from your lives, from your journey after training. And we always expect to see you again here, in the training center, like coming back home. To train, to grow stronger, or to pass your experience to those who are just starting. That’s how this works. That’s how we all get stronger.
