What is BZVP? Basic Military Training. MOS 100.

What is Basic Military Training (BZVP, BVP)? According to the instruction on the organization of the implementation of the Regulation on the military service of Ukrainian citizens in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Basic Military Training is mandatory for individuals who have no prior military service experience.

For individuals mobilized during a special period or accepted for military service under contract, who have no military experience or have had a break in service, Basic Military Training (BMT) is mandatory.

Recruits undergo Basic Military Training (BMT) at training centers or training battalions. These structures have the status of military units, and newly enlisted service members are officially assigned to their personnel.

How long does Basic Military Training (BMT) last?

The basic training lasts 30 days, including:

• 1 day – administrative day (medical examination, receiving weapons and equipment, etc.);
• 29 days (290 instructional hours) – training sessions.

The duration of a training day is 10 instructional hours.
Each instructional hour lasts 45 minutes.

The training includes theoretical and practical components, as well as self-study, which is conducted during scheduled time under the supervision of instructors.

What does BMT consist of?

BMT is divided into three courses:

Introductory Course – 1 day (10 instructional hours, 20% of which are practical training):

• National and patriotic training
• Safety measures
• Legal training
• International humanitarian law

Individual Training Course – 20 days (200 instructional hours, 76% practical training):

• National and patriotic training
• Statutes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
• Communications training
• NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) defense training
• Military topography
• Engineering training (mine safety)
• Psychological training
• Tactical medicine
• Survival training
• Tactical training
• Firearms training

Squad (Platoon) Operations Course – 8 days (80 instructional hours, 86% practical training):

• National and patriotic training
• Reconnaissance training
• Tactical training
• Firearms training
• Combined tactical exercise

BMT is designed to improve the effectiveness and survivability of personnel in combat and post-shelling conditions, regardless of their future role. Recruits gain basic knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for fulfilling their military duties.нання обов’язків та отримання військово-облікової спеціальності «стрілець» (ВОС-100).

What happens after Basic Military Training (BMT)?

Recruits are assigned to a military unit or, if necessary, undergo additional specialized training.

Graduates of VITRUGAN receive MOS 216 immediately after MOS 100 based on the certificate of training from our school — either automatically or after passing an exam at a Ukrainian Armed Forces training center.

Although VITRUGAN is a certified UAV pilot (operator) training school, current legislation does not yet allow for MOS 216 to be officially granted directly through our center. However, work is underway to develop the legal framework to make this possible in the future.
